Happy Easter 2018

Happy Easter from all of us in Guatemala.

We pray that you are well on this wonderful Easter day as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

We were blessed to be able to celebrate the baptisms of two of our daughters, Jessica and Vanessa at Casa de Libertad, our local church here in Guatemala.

It was a wonderful moment for me to able to partake in this profession of their faith and meaningful to our whole family.

Blessings in Christ,

Tim, Sharie, Audrey, Vanessa, Jessica, Alex and Alison Martiny.

Below are a few of my favorite quotes about Easter.

"If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all that he said; if he didn’t rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said? The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like his teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead."

-Tim Keller-

The best news of the Christian gospel is that the supremely glorious Creator of the universe has acted in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection to remove every obstacle between us and himself so that we may find everlasting joy in seeing and savoring his infinite beauty.

-John Piper-

Jesus Christ did not come into this world to make bad people good; He came into this world to make dead people live.

-Lee Strobel-

We are adopted into God's family through the resurrection of Christ from the dead in which he paid all our obligations to sin, the law, and the devil, in whose family we once lived. Our old status lies in his tomb. A new status is ours through his resurrection.
