This month we were blessed to work with a wonderful mission team lead by Danny and Kathryn Perez, missionaries with Cadence International.

They have spent their lives in ministry and work on U.S. military bases reaching servicemen and women. They trained and led a group of 7 U.S. Airmen and a Chaplain on an 8 day mission trip to work with us in Guatemala.

We worked in the Precious Moments School in Colonia Santa Fe where 187 of the poorest children receive their education in a Godly, Christian environment. The VBS was on Christ as the Good Shepherd. The classes were excellent, the worship was great and all the team members participated in teaching and ministering to the students in small groups and playing games in the afternoons.

The team stayed at the orphanage Fundaninos and had a fantastic opportunity to share their testimonies with the teenage girls during the Bible study and youth group we hold in our house. The personal stories they shared of how God has and is working in their lives had a very high impact on the children. They saw that the heart of man is the same the world over, that we are all broken and sinful, yet if we turn to God, yield to Him and let Him work in our lives, He will do amazing things.
